"Organ Luthern Church"

Item Organ-Luthern-6751. Item ST6751JC. Rowan County’s Organ Lutheran Church was one of North Carolina's "mother churches". Organ Church has been located in Eastern Rowan County for more than 265 years. The congregation still uses the “old church,” circa 1790s, for summer early services and special services. The church is located south of Salisbury and west of Rockwell just north of the intersection of Old Beatty Ford Rd and Organ Church Rd. Built in 1794 and is sometimes is referred to as “Zion Lutheran Church”. Zion Lutheran Church (also known as Organ Church) is a historic church in Rockwell, North Carolina. It was built in 1794 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
